David Angelo Caporali's Obituary
CAPORALI, DAVID ANGELO, 65, passed away on May 2, 2023, after a 7 1/2-year battle with ALS. David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Margaret, his children, Christen, Andrew and Lauren; his sisters, Angela Briggs (Mike) and Loretta Keen; his nephew, Bryan Keen (Sarah) and great niece, Avery. He is predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Larry Keen, and nephew, Hal Hackendale. David was born on January 10, 1958, to Angelo and Josephine Caporali in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Bishop Kenny High School and went on to earn a bachelors degree in Business Management from Florida State University. He began his career in sales and marketing, later becoming a financial advisor with AXA Advisors, but eventually had to take early retirement due to his illness. Among David’s greatest joys were being a father, cooking Italian meals that he learned from his mother, and cheering on the Seminoles. He never missed an FSU football game. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and the Knights of Columbus and was a cook at the Friday night fish fries. David was full of life, had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 12, 2023, at 12pm at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647. The family will receive friends beginning at 11am.
