Darlene Stephenson's Obituary
Darlene Mae Stephenson, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, just days after celebrating her birthday on March 13.
Darlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Einar Stephenson (Jinnie) and Robert Stephenson (Lisa); her cherished grandchildren, WendiLyn, Joshua, Natalie, and Mason; her sisters, Ruby Burgess and Bonnie Fedders; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Frederick Stephenson; her daughter, Jan; her parents, Carl and Dagny Johnson; and her siblings Shirley Torgeson, Joyce Bach, and Roy Johnson.
Darlene will be remembered as a friend to everyone she met, often described by those who loved her as “an angel with skin on.” She had a deep love for her work and was frequently asked to take on extra shifts, a testament to her dedication and the warmth she brought to those around her.
She also found joy in simple pleasures, especially her fondness for Bambi, which was reflected in her many treasured pictures, cups, and shirts.
At this time, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rucki Hospice Care Center, whose compassionate care and kindness meant so much to Darlene and her loved ones during her final days.
Darlene’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
