Daniel Jimenez Sr's Obituary
Jimenez, Sr. Daniel “Danny”, "The Last of the Mohicans", 77, was called home to the Lord on December 19, 2024 to be reunited with his father Jose A. Jimenez, mother Mercedes Coto, sisters, Jeanette Sanchez and Cristina R. Lopez, niece, Terry Ann Martinez, and Ivy Marie.
Born on July 29, 1947, in Tampa, Florida. Danny was a lifelong lover of the sea. Although he was raised in Tampa, he moved to St. Petersburg to pursue his passion for the ocean. He enjoyed spending peaceful and restful time in Marathon, FL with family. For more than 20 years, he owned and successfully operated Progressive Marine where his personal and professional life centered around the water. Danny shared his love for the ocean by taking his family members on boat rides to various places to include the Florida Keys, Egmont key and countless lobstering and deep-sea fishing trips. He enjoyed creating memories filled with laughter, salt air, seafood, cold beers, and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music with his family. He travelled the world several times and loved taking lengthy ocean cruises with Carol and his family where life-long memories were created. His determination, faith, risk-taking and fearless attitude allowed him to achieve success in business and in life. He set the example for his family and others to enjoy life to the fullest and never be fearful to pursue your dreams and passions.
Danny Sr. is survived by his children Daniel “Danny” Jr., Anthony, Michael (Monica), Shaunet and Heather, grandchildren Lerissa, Sydney, Isabella, and Sabrina, his partner Carol, nephews Nilo Jr. (Amy) and Felix III, nieces Tammy, Karen, Jessica (Stephen) and Vanessa (Jeremy), great nephews George (Ries), Estevan, Nilo III, Dylan, Brad, Highland, Grayson and Felix IV great nieces Amanda, Genesis, Gabrielle, Veronica, Olivia, Lilliana, Janessa, Briella, Adalyn and Elaina, as well as many beloved family members.
Though Danny is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the whispers of the ocean breeze-forever carried by the waves he so dearly loved.
