Daniel James Bates' Obituary
Daniel James Bates age 72 passed away on October 1, 2017 at Hospice House in Tampa Florida . He was born on July 1, 1945 in Ludlow, Massachusetts. He lost his wife Tera Bates of 56 years in December of 2016.
He was a decorated Vietnam veteran who served in the United States Army for 22 years achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military he worked for Southwest Florida Water Management District for 23 years.
He is survived by his son Michael Bates and daughter Denise Bates-Bell (Autumn Bell), brother James Bates (Judith), sister Kathyrn Dibble (Richard), Patricia Collins (Jeff), sister-in-law Elaine Bates, Ernest Musa (Diane), Joseph Musa (Cynthia), Debbie Lysik (Kenneth) and Rick Musa (Cindy).
He will be buried alongside his wife on Saturday, October 7th 10am at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military honors.11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592
