Entwistle, Cornelius' Obituary
Cornelius Entwistle Sr., born October 7, 1941, in Lincoln, Rhode Island, was the son of Arthur Entwistle and Jesse (Entwistle) Downing.
His only surviving sister, out of 11 children, is Priscilla (Entwistle) Bomono of Plant City, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Eileen M. (Despres) Entwistle of Mulberry, Florida, and his ex-wife, Signe V. (Nelson) Entwistle of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
He is survived by his three children: Ted Blake and Debra A. (Entwistle) Blake of Kinsley, Kansas; SSG (R) Cornelius Entwistle Jr. of Mulberry, Florida; and Timothy J. and Holly (Zeigler) Entwistle of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Cornelius spent his childhood growing up under the supervision of his older brothers and sisters until he reached his teenage years, when he graduated from Lincoln High School. He learned his craft early under his brothers, learning carpentry and construction.
He entered the United States Army in 1963 and became a 63B10 (Army Light Wheeled Mechanic), serving at Fort Knox, Fort Lee, and Fort Dix. Upon leaving the Army in 1966, he held the rank of Specialist.
He lived in several states throughout his life but retired in Mulberry, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
