Clifford Ronald Denison's Obituary
Clifford Ronald Denison "Pop" of Lutz, FL, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2024. Pop was a seventh generation Florida Cracker, raised in a citrus grove on Dennison Road. Dennison road off Highway 41 is named after his Florida Pioneer family who originally came to Florida in 1832. He attended the historic Lutz school and Chamberlain High School, where he was Senior Class President, and fell in love with Patricia "Patty" Wilson. Cliff and Patty have been married for 60 years and have three children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Poppy was so many things to so many people. A dad, father, brother, son, grandpa, friend, teacher, coach, and scout leader. He loved the Gospel and sharing his testimony of Jesus Christ. He had a passion for promoting Patriotism and a love of God and Country in the community. He used his talented voice to inspire many, both at church services and as a professional singer. He would oftentimes be found singing at weddings, funerals, baptisms, church services, and schools. He was known as the "heartbeat" of Home Depot and was loved by all his colleagues at the Brandon store. He set an example of Christlike kindness, and only saw the good in everyone.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 1pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1412 John Moore Road, Brandon, FL 33511.
