Im shocked at the sudden loss of my sister in law Christy. she was a soft spoken sweet soul with strength and her deep spiritual beliefs and love for music. she had the looks, heart, soul and voice of an angel. I get chills writing this as I think of how much her sons meant to her and how she would speak so fondly of them as proud moms do and she would speak of Gary with love in her voice as excited as when they first met as hes truly the love of her life. As well as her family that meant so much to her and what a strong family bond they were all blessed to share. she always looked forward to all of the big family celebrations and her tradition of making the delicious peanut butter balls every Christmas, a tin for each sister. We first made them with our Mother in law Janette so people live on thru their cooking as I have fond memories of Christy and janette when I make those each year as well as when I prepare other Southern dishes they taught me to make. Christy was a great Southern cook. . I remember Christy and I would have fun looking thru bridal magazines and sharing ideas on the long ride to watch Gary and Randy race.
Just this past year I remember seeing Christy and she was showing me the necklace she bought for her sister's birthday and was so excited to give it to her as she spoke of how special her sisters were to her. I think it was Marys bday if I remember correctly. Im sorry for your sudden and painful loss but Im sure her memory will live on in all of the great memories she left with everyone. Her singing gave me goosebumps as she sounded just like Crystal Gayle. I recall Christy and her Mom singing the Judds songs on the swing on the front porch of the blackard home and also how she sang Strawberry Wine so beautifully. Her whole family was gifted with musical talent and blessed to have all of those great memories singing together on and off stage. A true country music story.
I will stop here but the memories and thoughts and prayers continue on. With loving thoughts sweet, kind n beautiful angel. You are in a place way more peaceful than this world now, making music and smiling with Joey and your Mom and Dad who I know you cherished soo much and spoke of so often. God Bless you and all that love and miss you so much. "To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die". janice
