Christian S Petersheim's Obituary
Christian S Petersheim, 83, passed away May 29, 2017. He was born August 20, 1933 in Lancaster, PA to the late Christian and Annie (Stoltzfus) Petersheim. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Raymond; sister, Lydia; and his brothers, David, Levi and Dan.
Christian came to Sarasota back in the 1950’s from Lancaster and was a member of the First Pinecraft Amish Church. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, shuffle board, riding his bicycle and eating oyster stew.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Ada; daughters, Cindy Beachy and her husband Abe of Sarasota, Florida; Rose Eash and her husband Elmer of Haven, Kansas; son, Leroy Petersheim and his wife Carol of Arthur, Illinois; sister-in-law, Malinda Petersheim of Lancaster, PA; daughter-in-law, Judy Miller and her husband Stanton of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren, Travis, Allen, Rosalyn, Justin, Lucinda, Julie, Michael, Ethan, Ina and Nolan; great-grandchildren, Cora, Whitney, Hannah and Jadon.
There will be visitations Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Tourist Mennonite Church 3340 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, Florida 34239. Funeral will begin at 10:00 am with interment at Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery in Sarasota.
