Christel Menendez's Obituary
Christel E. Menendez of Tampa FL passed away on October 24th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born December 6th, 1936 to Wilhelm and Erika Franz in Berlin, Germany, where she met and married her husband of 54 years, Jorge.
Christel was a wife, homemaker and made her career in childcare. She owned and operated Ms. Christel's Home Day care until she retired. Christel had a passion for collecting Hummel figurines, Italian crystal and a love of fresh flowers.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jorge C Menendez.
She is survived by her husband Jorge O. Menendez, her children, Ilona Mestril (Ruben), Ingo "Ski" Brelewski (Susan), Zaida Menendez, Jerome Menendez (Tricia), Carmen Menendez, Marco Menendez (Lizaida) and daughter-in-law Cynthia Menendez, her grandchildren Sebastian Mestril (Jennifer), Brandon Brelewski, Kiersten Kingry (Ryan), Collin Brelewski (Gina), Adrianna Menendez, Nickolaus Menendez, Zachary Menendez and Alejandro Menendez, great grandchildren, Tilly Mestril, Felix Mestril, Mason Brelewski, Rylie Kingry, Holden Kingry and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens on October 31st at 11am, with a reception immediately following.
