Cheryl Kathleen Richardson's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Cheryl Kathleen Richardson, on September 9, 2025. Cheryl was a wonderful person—kind, funny, and generous, always ready with a hug, advice, or a helping hand for anyone in need. She was strong, facing her final moments with courage and dignity.
Cheryl loved adventure. She enjoyed cruises and road trips, always excited to explore new places and meet new people. Yet, above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family.
She loved to cook, watch I Love Lucy and The Golden Girls with her grandchildren, share funny stories with family and friends, and even turn a shopping trip into an adventure. Cheryl was also quick to guide Tom, ensuring he stayed on the right path. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin “George” and Esther Flippen; her brother, George “Steve” Flippen; her son, Jason Richardson; and her beloved pets Winnie, Cleo, Lexi, and many others she cherished.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 33 years, Tom Richardson; her children, Raymond (Jennifer) Ralls, Laura (Michael) Irizarry, and Kristi (Michael) Bump; her grandchildren, Jacob Doon-Ralls, Maddox Ralls, Jackson Ralls, Anthony Irizarry, Jonathin Irizarry, Kloe Bump, Ashton Bump, Kyler (Tiasha) Richardson, Brennen Fillan, and two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Terry (James) Richardson and Jim (Jolene) Flippen; her sister-in-law, Kathy Flippen; and her very dear friend, Judy Fields.
