Charlotte White's Obituary
WHITE, Charlotte Jenkins of Tampa, Florida, born August 28, 1921, passed into God's Heaven January 30, 2021, after a short battle with Covid-19 and 16 years of Alzheimer's Disease. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Mabell and Adrian Lang; her sister, Margaret Huffman; her loving husband of 45 years, George O. Jenkins; second spouse, Morris A. White; and great-grandson, Korban. She is survived by her brother, James Lang; daughters, Gwen Feltman (Dwight), Gale Lutes, Karen Harris (Rick); her eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte worked several years at Sears in Tampa where she acquired many of her lifetime friends who quickly became family. She was generous with her talents and time and served as a Girl Scout troop leader, PTA President and leader, classroom mom, Pee Wee football cheerleader seamstress and wore a variety of hats as her family needed. Charlotte was an amazing wife, loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling the world and never met a stranger. She loved reading as well as playing cards, going to the bingo and sewing, which was apparent in the beautiful hand stitched quilts she made. She will be dearly missed and remembered forever for her thoughtful, loving ways. A celebration of Charlotte's life will be scheduled at such time gatherings can be allowed.
