Charles Ferlita Scaglione's Obituary
Charles F. Scaglione, 97, was promoted to the higher life on January 20, 2016. Charlie was born December 12, 1918 in Tampa, Florida to the late Jack and Maria (Ferlita) Scaglione. A lifelong resident of Tampa, Charlie served our country in the US Navy where he enlisted as a very young teenager. He later worked with his sister and brother-in-law as a plumber. He enjoyed life to its fullest, with travel, the meeting of friends, crossword puzzles and reading in depth studies of scriptures, philosophical quotes and was an avid reader until his later days.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jack Scaglione and his wife Dee of Temple Terrace; grandchildren, Dylan and Deena Scaglione; sister-in-law, Nona Eurs of Detroit, Michigan; and cousins, Frank (Gloria) Ferlita; and Margie (David) Slazas; and extended family members in the Tampa Bay area
Charlie will always be remembered for his magnetic smile and genuine personality.
Special gratitude to the Veterans Administration for the many years of care and loyalty they provided and his caretakers that gave Charlie that personal love and care; most recently, Gloria and Zina. To Dee Scaglione, words cannot express the ultimate care you provided both Charlie and Rose. God Bless You All.
