Charles Huff's Obituary
Charles W. Huff, age 95, of Lutz, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born on August 3, 1925 in Greenville, SC, the son of Mae (Garrett) and John A. Huff, Sr.
Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 1943-1946, he also served in WWII and was an SB2C-4 Helldiver combat air crewman (Gunner) which flew over the Saratoga. He was a 50 year member of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers BAC Local 8 Southeast (Local #3- Tampa). Charles was a Masonry Contractor and co-owner of Huff Masonry, a member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Posse under Malcolm Beard and V.P. of the Jr. Deputy League.
Survivors include his daughters, Sheila (Andy) Hamilton and Brenda Townsend; son, Charles W. (Almut) Huff Jr; grandchildren, Phillip (Casey) Hamilton, Susan Hamilton, Virginia Townsend and Hannah Furchet-Huff; great grandchildren, Austin Hamilton, Dalton Overstreet and Liam Hamilton that’s on the way in 2021; great great grandchild, Christena Hamilton; brothers, John A. Huff, Jr, “Rusty” and Walter Huff “Peanut.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Huff in 2009; his parents and one sister, Marion Brown “June.”
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Sunset Memory Gardens.
