Charles Jay Dickey's Obituary
Charles Jay Dickey, 83, of Zephyrhills, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026. Charlie was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to so many. He was smart, funny, and able to make friends anywhere he went.
Charlie was born in Dearborn, Michigan to Laurel and Helen Dickey. He eventually became a boilermaker for Monarch Welding and Engineering in Detroit, where he took a medical retirement after 25 years. Charlie loved the woods and the water. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed boating. But he also loved to bowl and was even in a league in his younger days. Later in life, he developed a love for car restoration, working diligently on his Antique 1928 Chevy, which he proudly entered in car shows. But more than anything, Charlie loved spending time with his family and friends. He was truly a kind, generous, and loyal man. He could fix anything.
Charlie was proceeded in death by his wife, Susan (formerly Krieg) with whom he raised 2 children. He was also preceded by his sister, Rose Marie, and his parents Helen and Laurel Dickey.
Charlie is survived by his beloved partner of 9 years, Wanda Campbell; his son, Michael (Mara) Dickey; his daughter, Karen (Richard) Bilicki; Wanda’s daughter, Jennifer (Greg ) Ennis; grandchildren, Mitchell Dickey, Merek Dickey, and Mallory Dickey, Justin (Raven) Bilicki, Branden (Jennifer) Bilicki, Adam Bilicki, Celia Bilicki, Kyler (Maddie) Ennis and Kenzi (Austin) Taylor; and great grandchildren, Luis Angel, and Aleane Noella, Ember Taylor, Rainey Taylor, Bozhidara Bilicki and Todor Bilicki ; and countless friends and neighbors who were like family to him as well, and his devoted cat, Kora.
Charlie was loved by everyone who was blessed to know him. He will be dearly missed.
