Charles A. Bernardo Sr's Obituary
Charles “Tony” Anthony Bernardo Sr., 81, of Tampa Florida passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018. He was born in Tampa, Florida to Antonio and Bessie Bernardo. Tony grew up in Thonotosassa, Florida in the poultry industry which evolved into the trucking industry.
He owned and operated C & B transportation as a logistics company in the transportation of fruits and vegetables from and to California. His company had over 110 trucks and trailers, with over 200 drivers and staff. After trucking he would serve several years in telecom real estate and cell tower siting.
In 2007 he received a heart transplant, which afterward his family had 10 more amazing years to enjoy with him.
At all times he went above and beyond to help is children succeed and enrich their future. In the most recent twenty eight years he enjoyed his eight grandchildren as much as possible.
He always thought “out the box” especially with financial issues, always coming up with the right solution to the situation. He has passed this talent down to both his sons and daughters.
He has been with his loving partner of 45 years Sandy Clarke in all the good, the bad, the sickness and health, and she was the love of his life.
He was far too stubborn to give up and pass for so long, he stayed to enjoy his family, his friends, and his dog, Samson, the fight just became too monumental and now he is looking down on his loving family who misses him greatly.
Tony is survived by loving partner Sandra Clarke; children: Charles A. Bernardo Jr. of Tampa, FL, Karen G. Shepherd of Dahlonega, GA, Steven M. Bernardo of Brandon, FL, Troy A.
