Carolyn Humphries' Obituary
Carolyn Humphries, 80, passed away April 27, 2017. She was born March 2nd, 1937 in Georgetown, South Carolina to the late Mellie and Alfred Moore. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her grandson Charles Ryan Humphries and her beloved husband John (2014) of 58 years.
She lived in Florida was 53 years and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Seffner. Carolyn participated in their women's auxiliary and loved spending time with her family. As her family grew up she encouraged her children to participate in various activities where she too made her mark. Carolyn was a band booster and a girl scout cookie mom. Collecting pictures of her family was just one of her hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, Carolyn was told that her place was the nicest on the block as her flower beds were just amazing. All of the people she touched in her life she cared for a great deal, including her parish family, friends and care givers. Decorating for the Christmas holiday was the highlight of the year. FAMILY was her life she was dedicated and devoted to each and everyone. Truly her greatest accomplishment was the beautiful family that she and her husband John created.
Left to cherish her memory are her six children and their spouses; son Ronnie and his wife Lauren of Wesley Chapel, FL, son Lewie and wife Colleen Fort Myers, FL, daughter Brenda and husband Lenny Rodriguez of Dade City, FL, daughter Renet and her husband Frank Snow of Parker, CO, daughter Cherry and husband Mike Lamb of Riverview, FL, and son Deril and wife Carrie of Wesley Chapel, FL.
Her brothers Earl Moore and his wife MaryAnn of South Carolina, Marvi Dean Moore and his wife Marie of Texas, and sister Arcatherine McCutchin of South Carolina.
With heavy hearts her 19 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren will also mourn her passing.
Memorial Donations can be made to either Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.
