Caridad Jimenez's Obituary
Caridad (Lopez) Jimenez, 94, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on January 26, 2026. Born on December 7, 1931, in Havana, Cuba to the late Esteban and Cira Lopez.
Caridad moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1966 with her husband, Felix, and her two sons, Felix and Ernesto. She moved to Miami with her family in 1971. Caridad worked in international sales for Firestone for many years, retiring in December in 1993 and moving to Tampa in January of 1994, where she resided the remainder of her life.
Caridad loved gardening and especially loved growing her beautiful orchids and spending time with her family. She remained a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister throughout her life.
She is survived by her sons, Felix Jimenez, Jr. (Jerri) and Ernesto Jimenez (Wendy), five grandchildren, Andrew Jimenez (Stephany), Christina Jimenez, Michael Jimenez, Stephen Jimenez and Daniel Jimenez (Julissa), three great-granddaughters, Emilia Jimenez, Anabel Jimenez and Sofia Jimenez, her sister, Lucila Diez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Jimenez, Sr., her parents, Esteban and Cira Lopez, her sisters, Mercedes Lopez, Lydia Lopez, Maria Prieto, Alberto Lopez, Pichin Lopez, and Estebita Lopez.
Private (family) Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thonotosassa, Florida.
