Barbara Luella Alcorn's Obituary
Barbara Luella Alcorn, passed away July 5, 2016. She was born February, 1921 in Roxbury, Massachusetts to the late William and Sadie (Fuller) Munster.
Barbara came to the Tampa Bay area in 1998 from Plano, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Tampa. She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother, school Room Mom (many times), worked at a community college bookstore and Friends Gift Shop. She cared for her grown children and grandchildren. She was a “Hip-Hop for Gray” model and enjoyed reading, playing cards, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tori Alcorn Trujeque and her husband Andy; son, Jim Alcorn and step-son, Tony Alcorn; sister, Doris Spencer; grandchildren, Kelsey, Taylor, David Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind (which provides guide and service dogs as well as training to the blind/disabled including veterans and active military personnel). There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church of New Tampa, 28125 County Line Rd, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33543. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
