Arnold Lavern Harvey II's Obituary
Arnold Laverne Harvey II was a motivational speaker, author, and active member
of the Baha’i faith who was passionate about sharing the message of Baha’u’llah with others. He inspired and encouraged people with his testimony as a disabled Army veteran.
Arnold’s outgoing personality shined in the spotlight. His warm and inviting smile
drew people to him and he made friends everywhere he went.
Arnold was a gifted storyteller and artist. He shared his challenges and triumphs
of living with a disability in his writings and in front of crowds, and expressed his
faith through his artwork.
His honesty and positivity were an inspiration to people living with a disability, to
veterans, to people in recovery, and to anyone experiencing challenges.
Arnold loved God and found fellowship as a member of the Baha’i community in
Tampa where he quickly made an impact with believers and nonbelievers.
Arnold was a loving and devoted father of five. He is survived by his children:
Tanisha, 21, Janay, 15, Jasmine, 13, Arianna 10, and Isaiah, 8. His parents
Arnold and Theresa Harvey. His siblings Sherrie, Angela, Arthur, and Rebecca,
and his nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025, from 10 am -12 pm
with burial at 12 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home 11005 US-301 Thonotosassa
Tampa, Florida. Celebratory BBQ held at 1:30 pm at Baha’i Center of Tampa
