Angel Acevedo's Obituary
Angel Rafael Acevedo SR, many of you may refer to as “Don Rafin”, “Rafin”, “Papi”, “Lelo” passed away peacefully in the presence of his immediate family on May 23, 2025. He began his journey in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Rafin was born to his father Juvenal, mother Margot, and oldest brother Juvenal Acevedo Jr. He later met the love of his life Milagros and married on January 16, 1965. Shortly after he began building his legacy with his surviving children: Milagros “Marggie”, Angel Jr, and Jorge. His journey guided him to Tampa, Florida in the late 70’s with his wife and children. Throughout his life in Tampa, he welcomed and opened his home to anyone who wanted to move to the states, starting with his parents Juvenal and Margot. Following his parents his brother Juvenal, Madeline and their children arrived. Later joined Cari, Eric, Pipo, Elga, the whole Villalba family, and probably more then we can list. Rafin laughed at his own jokes because he believed he was funny but deep down, he was terrible at jokes. Many knew Rafin to be very passionate about horses and he loved his “Tenerumi,” but most of all he was passionate about his family and friends. He gave everything to the ones he loved. In his time, he danced, he taught, he supported, he guided, and he mentored the family. These moments we will cherish forever. In Rafin’s legacy he leaves behind; Wife: Milagros Acevedo. Children: Marggie Morales, Angel R Acevedo Jr, and Jorge Acevedo. Daughters and Son-in-Law: Eric Morales, Vittoria Acevedo, and Elizabeth Acevedo. Grandchildren: Shannel K Morales, Raquel M Acevedo, Adrianna C Acevedo, Alessia Acevedo, and Isabella Acevedo. Great Grandchildren: Isaias D. Galeno, and Josiah I. Diaz. Heaven has gained another angel. He leaves behind his legacy, but is rejoiced and welcomed by many family members, friends, and his first and only grandson Eric D Morales. May you all rest in peace. Until we meet again.
