Ana Isabel Davey's Obituary
Heaven is rejoicing today because Mrs. Ana Isabel Davey went to be with the Lord. She passed away on December 13, 2023. Born in Bogota Colombia on January 27, 1934 to parents Leonor Rey Echeverria and Jorge Reyes Solano. She battled a short and hard battle with brain cancer.
Mrs. Davey resided in New Port Richey Florida for the past two years and previously resided in Tampa since 1967. She is preceded in death by her first husband Mario Ramirez of Tampa and father of their sons and daughter. By her brother Jorge Reyes Rey of California, by her fifth son Jaime Ramirez USAF and her beloved late husband, Ret Col, Kenneth W, Davey. She is survived by her children and her loving pet Selleck. Mario Jose Ramirez of New Port Richey, Juan Manuel Ramirez (wife Patricia Ramirez and son Matthew Ramirez of Orlando Florida, Hernando Ramirez (deceased wife Norma) of Tampa, Carlos Alberto Ramirez, (wife Marie Marino, daughter Jeanine Ramirez and son Anthony Ramirez of Tampa. Daughter Ana Maria Piazza of Tampa, sons Christopher Piazza (wife Melissa, sons Joshua and Jacob) of Plant City Florida. Giovanni Piazza (wife Sace, Great grandchildren Zaylee and Zyon) of Georgia.
Mrs. Davey received her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Universidad Javeriana. After moving to the States, Mrs. Davey worked for a couple of local banks and then accepted a position at the University of South Florida Main Campus Library. She loved to work with books to read as much as she could and continued her work and promotions to her final title of Archivist. She then retired along with her late husband to pursue other interests and to travel all over the USA and abroad. Mrs. Davey was also heavily involved in the Republican Party and worked tirelessly to support local and national politicians into office. She supports several charities like St. Jude Hospital for Children, Shriners Children Hospital and many others. Also very supportive of DAV, Wounded Warriors and many local and Catholic Organizations. She also enjoyed the good things in life like food, music, movies, but most of all her family.
She sacrificed all her life to make sure that her children always had her support to achieve their hopes and dreams. Mama, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Although our hearts are broken with her passing, she will always be the matriarch of our family, our Queen of our hearts and our beloved mother. Until we meet again, Mama rests in peace. We love you so much. We would like to thank Gulfside Hospice for the care provided for our Mother during her illness, especially her nurse Karen
