Albert Miles' Obituary
Albert John Miles, age 83, of Tampa, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 27, 2025, after a valiant fight against long term health challenges. He was able to fulfill his wish to be at home with his family before beginning his eternal journey.
He was born Oct 12th, 1941 in Sundance, WY, to George and Gladys Miles. He spent his childhood and early adulthood in Oneco, FL, where he met the love of his life, Dorinda Lou. He was a graduate of Manatee High School.
Albert began working at the young age of 12, to help his mother and five siblings during difficult times. He later went on to a managerial career with Publix Supermarkets, where he dedicated over 35 years. He was blessed with a 29 year retirement, which he spent mostly in service to others. He was a Christian who practiced his faith with his actions and he worshiped as an active member of Mission Hill Church.
Albert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Lou Miles - three Children: Chip Miles (Brenda), Dee Dee Waddell (Doug), and Chris Miles (Gina) - Nine grandchildren: Travis Miles, Desirae Maokhamphiou, (Michael), Sandra Westbrook (Sean), Alicia Heath (Scott), Jessica Waddell (Shawn), Justin Waddell (Ashlee), Jordan Miles, Jonathan Miles (Holly), Jason Miles, and 10 great grandchildren. His entire family, and all who knew Albert, were abundantly blessed by his boundless generosity, kind and humble spirit, and unconditional love!
A celebration of Albert’s life will be held on October 11th, 2025, 11:00 am, at Mission Hill Church, 10002 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
