What are some of the powerful emotions you have gone through?

What are some things you do to take care of yourself emotionally so that you can continue to help others in your profession?

To take care of herself emotionally, she spends time with her family.

What has been the biggest challenge for you?

Her biggest challenge is helping people understand the incredible work that hospice does.

What do you believe has been your key to having great relationships with your patients?

The greatest key to a strong relationship with families is listening, empathy, connecting with families and being honest with them. 

How do you motivate yourself?

Danielle doesn’t need much motivation.  She absolutely loves her job and feels called to help families. 

Looking back on the first person in your care, how would you say you have evolved from that moment and in which ways?

Since her start with hospice, her journey to this point has taught her to be more comfortable in discussing end of life issues with families. 

What advice would you give someone who is considering hospice service in the near or far future?
