How does one share a memory when there are 49 years of so many. I lay in bed at night and talk to you Ray and say do you remember this or do you remember that and it is hard to believe that such a loss could bring such joy from all the wonderful memories we all shared. It does just that and for this I thank you for being the wonderful man You became. You knew what you wanted and you weren't afraid yo go for it. You made me so very proud in the success of your so many ventures in your life. Heaven has two more of the most beautiful angels and I envy the fact that you and Cory can spend eternity with each other and I can't wait to share that with you. Mom just shared a very funny memory of Ray and his mom: The day Barb brought home Ray from the hospital mom was teaching Barb how to change a diaper n Ray peed all over her oh the hazards of changing baby boys lol
Colby and I can not express how thankful we are for everyone who has been there for us. The food, laughs, flowers, cards, hugs, text, and gifts have been a saving grace for our family. We miss our dad and husband so very much. He was our captain, our provider, our anchor. We know that he is watching over us and in his special way keeping us on the right path. I have not seen you since you were a little boy, I can remember the day your mom bought you home from the hospital, you were the first baby I got to hold. Your Aunt Robin and I would fight over who was going to hold you. I know I did not get to see you much but ever May 4th I would think of you on your birthday. Heaven has a new angel you can get to know a lot of your family that is up there. God bless you sweetie, may the Lord hold you in his arms and make you feel wonderful. You are my first born and it seems like yesterday that this 4 pound bundle of joy came into my life. You've grown to be the man that any proud mother would only pray to have. I know only too well how much I will and do miss you. I hope they have fishing in heaven. You and Cory can once again get back to doing the one thing that you both loved. See who can outdo the other by catching the biggest fish. Take care of one another and help Gram and Pop in anyway you can. Life passes in the twinkling of an eye. We feel so blessed as a family to have just had supper with you guys days ago. We had such a great time laughing and sharing memories. To have that last memory of Ray is a blessing. Kim I will always remember us at the Rascal Flats concert and that was when you and Ray were reconnecting. The look in your eyes Kim and the love you still had in your heart for him after all those years was a true love story. Sometimes our chapters end before we are ready but it is God's Book of Life not ours. We love you Kim and family may God heal your hearts and give each one of you peace.
