June 15, 1928 - July 2, 2020
Mary Ann Hile, 92, of Land O Lakes passed away suddenly on July 2, 2020. Born in Reading, PA and relocated to Florida with her family in 1962. She was an excellent seamstress and started Hile's curtain Specialties with her two sons in 1971. She later retired in the early 1990's. Mary Ann loved to travel and she and her husband went RV'ing for many years where they visited most of our country. She loved to talk about all the places they went, people they met and the fun they had. She was also an avid motorcyclist and it was a family affair with Eddie and the children. She rode her own bike for many years and was the oldest active living member of the Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club. She was very proficient at handicrafts including knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and loved puzzles and playing games on her iPad. She was full of life and never complained about her health or problems. Mary Ann was a good listener and always gave good advice. She was a very active lady for her age and her mind was always sharp as a tack, we are so grateful for that. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and had a strong faith with our Lord. Most of all she loved her family and friends, if you were her friend you were her friend for life. She will be deeply missed. Sports were a big part of her life and she loved her Tampa Bay Bucs and Tampa Bay Rays. She and her husband were Tampa Bay Buccaneers season ticket holders for over 20 years. What a great time we had going to the games and tailgating! She is survived by two sons , Charles Hile(Terri), Grant Hile(Beth) and daughter Ann Sweeney(James) as well as 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren, two sisters Pat Heckman, Coatsville, PA and Nancy Heere, Reading, PA. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward "Tex", three sisters Betty, Dorothy, and Marilyn as well as her brother Jack. Flowers may be sent or in lieu of donations may be made in her memory to Hospice, which was Mary Ann's favorite charity.
