Lucas Hernandez, 64 years young was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico on March 13, 1956. He passed on to heaven December 12, 2020. Lucas was the son of Israel Hernandez and Lucila Santiago. Lucas was the father of three children: Manuel I. Hernandez, Jose J. Hernandez, and Mayra A. Hernandez. The mother of his children, Carmen P. Bermudez. His grand children, Antonio M Hernandez and Javier A Hernandez. Lucas was a graduate of Hesston College in Kansas and went on to pursue a professional career as a industrial electrician. He worked as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 2020. He was a firm believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Lucas read his Bible daily, spoke and walked the way of a true believer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren fishing and camping. Attending football, baseball, and hockey games with his sons. His leisure time was spent watching his favorite tv show NCIS and watching girly movies with his only daughter. He enjoyed carpentry and building cabinets with his hands. He is survived by his three brothers and three sisters. Maria D. Hernandez, Hector R. Hernandez, Ana G. Massur, Heriberto Hernandez, Jose D. Hernandez, and Sonia I. Hernandez. Lucas was a very loving and caring person. He was a very compassionate and helping individuals whenever they were in need. Viewing hours will be on Monday December 21, 2020 from 10am to 3pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Thonotosassa, FL. Grave side services will be held immediately after the viewing at the same location Sunset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the GoFundMe page “Lucas Hernandez Funeral Expense Fund”.
